LentFlix: Embracing Compassion and Courage in the face of Evil

While the season of Lent calls us to examine our personal relationship with faith and self-discipline, it also provides an opportunity to reflect on broader issues of justice, compassion, and courage in the world around us.  This year, our Lenten program, “LentFlix: Embracing Compassion and Courage in the Face of Evil,” invites us to explore real-life stories of resistance and resilience through thought-provoking films and discussions.

Every Wednesday at 6 PM in the Parish Hall, we gather for supper followed by screenings that highlight the transformative power of compassion and courage.

Child-to-Child Projects

This picture shows our Christmas CHILD TO CHILD PROJECT for 22 children at the Grassroots homeless shelter. This is one of our four annual projects and consists of our young families providing tote bags or duffels for children who move often and frequently need to carry their favorite belongings in trash bags. These new bags provide a place to store their special belongings and transport them when they change residences. The bags include cards made by our children, squashmallows, and holiday candy.
